act II

The best of Act II was when Claudius sends for Hamlet’s old schoolfellows, Rosencrantz and Guildenstern, and enjoins them to spy on the prince and when Hamlet decides to “catch the conscience of the King” by having a company of strolling actors present a murder play with a plot imitating that of his father’s murder.
